NHBF adds 3 members to its board for 2024

Following voting in its 2024 Board Member Elections, the National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF) has announced additions to its board.

Debbie Digby, Louise Fordham and Richard Marshall (pictured above left to right) will officially begin their roles from the NHBF’s Annual General Meeting, scheduled for July.

Founding partner of Feathers Salon Group & CEO of Passion4hair, Debbie Digby brings 45 years’ experience in the hairdressing industry to the NHBF board. She comments: “I am looking forward to being a board member of the NHBF, in order to contribute and learn as the industry navigates change and moves into the future.”

Salon owner of Bespoke Hairdressing, Rugby, Louise Fordham is an advocate for creating inclusive, supportive work environments. She notes: “Through my role with NHBF, I will be a passionate advocate for best practice that encourages creativity and diversity within our industry. In our salon, we get to make people happy every single day and that’s why it’s such a great world to be part of.”

Founder of Pall Mall Barbers in London and New York, Richard Marshall is dedicated to elevating industry standards. He details: “When I was 16 at college, I used to compete at NHBF competitions, and many years later I get to use my 36 years’ experience to help shape our industry. I’m really excited to be adding as much value as possible and making a difference at every level.”

Caroline Larissey, NHBF chief executive officer, comments:

“I am delighted to welcome NHBF’s newest board members. Each brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will undoubtedly strengthen NHBF’s mission of promoting safe, legal and profitable salon businesses.”

Other changes at NHBF include the promotion of Jamie Mettyear, owner of Mettyear’s Day Spa and Salon, who has advanced from board member to vice president. Hair designer & leadership and mindset coach, Beverley Bates, has also secured a second term as a board member.
