CEW UK (Cosmetic Executive Women) has announced its sponsorship of a student place on the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) Diploma in Cosmetic Science, starting in October 2022.

The CEW Caroline Neville Scholarship 2022 has been launched in recognition of the huge contribution CEW Executive President Caroline Neville MBE has made to supporting businesses and individuals across the beauty industry over the past 30 years.

Now, CEW is inviting members to nominate someone they know or themselves to be the recipient of the sponsorship, which is not exclusive to CEW members.

The SCS Diploma in Cosmetic Science is written by experts in the industry and is recognised by employers within the cosmetics science and personal care industry. It is a course delivered by online learning, enabling students to study at their own pace, kick start their career path and improve their career aspirations.

The course is approved by the Royal Society of Chemistry for training purposes and is supported by the CTPA. The SCS is also an associate member of the Science Council and the Federation of Awarding Bodies.

The recipient would either be a final year student (either at university studying for a degree that is not related to cosmetic science or in the final year of studying Chemistry A-Level), or a CEW member whose current career is not directly in cosmetic science but the nominee really wants to get into new product development.

Nominations and applications close on 17 June, and CEW’s education team will review the applications in conjunction with the SCS and will let the shortlist of chosen candidates know.
