OPI’s summer nail colour collection, Power Of Hue, has arrived to send a bold message through nail colour.

With a 12-piece palette of mood-boosting summer hues, from electrifying fuschia and turquoise to tangy orange and yellow, OPI wants consumers and pros to use the collection to unleash their creativity and be unapologetically themselves – in other words, ‘Be Hue’.

“At OPI, we feel that colour can help someone be who they want to be, changing not just looks, but outlooks,” comment Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI co founder & brand ambassador, and Jill Bartoshevich, the brand’s global marketing director.

“The global crisis that has overwhelmed our lives for the past two years gives way to a colour direction that’s alive with energy,” continues Suzi. “Invigorating aesthetics, therapeutic textures, and vibrating colour combinations are at the heart of summer 2022’s colour story.”

They explain that because June is Pride Month, Power of Hue’s spectrum of shades did take inspiration from the occasion, which celebrates LGBTQ+ communities globally.

“We’ve launched this rainbow-hued collection for summer 2022 because June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month but we will continue to promote it until next season because we want to talk about the charity that OPI Global is supporting through it, The Trevor Project, for more than one month. It is an organisation that needs year-round support,” the pair reveal.

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organisation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning young people. The organisation is doing very important work to offer a safe space for teens and literally save lives.”

A percentage of OPI Global sales of the Power of Hue collection is to be donated to The Trevor Project, while OPI UK and Ireland has partnered with and will be donating to Albert Kennedy Trust. This charity supports LGBTQ+ young people aged 16-25 in the UK facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment, and helps them into better futures, from supporting them into safe homes to employment, education and training.

The 12 shades in the OPI Power Of Hue collection are available in nail lacquer, Infinite Shine and GelColor.

“The hues and their shimmer finishes lend themselves to really dynamic looks,” reveal Suzi & Jill.” On their own, they act as jewellery on nails and together, the shades are perfect for bright, bold nail art. Even a set of skittle nails, with each nail painted a different colour, looks striking with these shades.”
