Richard Lambert steps down as NHBF chief executive

The National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF) has announced that Richard Lambert has stepped down from his role as chief executive of the NHBF.

After being in the role since 2020, Richard has decided to retire from full-time work to pursue other interests.

“We are grateful for all the hard work that Richard has dedicated to the NHBF and wish him all the best in his future ventures,” comments Amanda Lodge-Stewart, NHBF president.

Over the course of the time Richard has been in the role, the NHBF has continued to keep the industry up to date with the latest knowledge and statistics to provide a valuable overview of the hair, beauty and barbering industries in the UK.

During the pandemic, in addition to providing support to the industry, the NHBF also launched the State of the Industry Survey in August 2020 which has been carried out quarterly since. Now, the NHBF have three years of data to show how businesses coped with periods of lockdowns, closures and restrictions, as well as the cost of living crisis and cost of doing business crisis.

The new chief executive is yet to be announced.
