The Spa At The Midland

Manchester’s city centre spa, The Spa at The Midland, has partnered with Wellness for Cancer, a non-profit educational foundation that provides cancer therapy training to spas and wellness facilities.

Wellness for Cancer has specifically trained and certified The Spa at The Midland to provide services for guests who have experienced or who are currently living with cancer. Together they have created a Wellness for Cancer spa experience totally dedicated to reduce stress and anxiety, nurture and nourish those guests living or recovering from cancer.

The Spa at The Midland will be linking with local cancer support groups and charities in Manchester, by inviting them to experience a unique introductory tour of the spa, where the new treatments will be available to guests in the city for the first time ever. In addition, those who attend will also meet with Julie Bach, founder of the Wellness for Cancer organisation, to help build the foundations for a special bridge of support that will be extended within the local community.

Julie Bach first created the Wellness for Cancer organisation following her own personal experience of looking after her parents who were in and out of cancer centres for 15 years. The training based curriculum is aimed at spas and wellness facilities that want to increase their level of comfort and confidence in delivering safe and nurturing services to their spa guests.  With required on-line, classroom, practical hands-on training and examinations to pass, the knowledgeable spa team at The Spa at The Midland team has undergone over sixty hours each of extensive training to achieve its accreditation.
