Rimmel London is making a splash as it has announced that Olympic diver, Tom Daley is Rimmel’s first global male ambassador.
The signing of the Olympic gold medallist and double world champion is part of Rimmel’s mission to break down beauty boundaries and Tom will join the cast of faces for the Match Perfection foundation franchise, alongside fellow Rimmel ambassador Adwoa Aboah.
“I am delighted to be Rimmel’s first global male ambassador. Regardless of gender, everyone should be able to look and feel the best version of themselves and it’s great to see that this diversity is happening in the beauty industry,” comments Tom.
Tom will be fronting Rimmel London’s Match Perfection Foundation range which uses Smart Tone Technology and matches 99% of skin tones.
Talking about the make-up line, Tom adds: “I’m a big fan of Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation because it makes sure I still look like me, just with skin that looks and feels smooth and fresh. It’s especially useful when I have those days where I need that little bit of help to feel more confident.”
“Rimmel’s partnership with Tom Daley marks an exciting new era for the brand. We are proud of our mission to prioritise diversity and inclusion and feel honoured to have Tom as our first global male ambassador. As a world-class athlete and an advocate for mental health and LGBTQI+ rights, Tom is a powerful role model. By working together, we aspire to encourage greater beauty acceptance and self-expression for everyone,” comments Sarah Al Shohaib, Rimmel Senior Vice President.
Tom joins the ranks of role models who have previously been Rimmel London ambassadors, including Kate Moss, Georgia May Jagger, Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora.
For the announcement, celebrity nail artist, Stephanie Staunton, created a patriotic nail look of the Union Jack for the diver, using Rimmel products.
