The Great Scratch Shoot Out 2020
Scratch magazine’s annual, worldwide photographic nail competition is back – with a big difference for 2020.
While the competition usually invites nail professionals to work with a creative team, in light of the Covid-19 pandemic this year’s competition will see a new focus.
The competition’s theme is: YOU. For the first time, the contest is inviting nail professionals to take part in solo photo shoots to both create and capture their concept by themselves.
With cash prizes to be won, this will see self-portraits featuring nail work welcomed into the competition, as well as images that represent you, your personality or what is important to you, through the medium of nail imagery and design. Entries should incorporate the nail pro or their personality.
Nails should be the focus of your final entry, but the new theme should see the entrant incorporate their personality – or themselves – into the image.
