Scratch chats to Nadine Slater of The Little Nail Shed about what she wants to achieve within the nail industry longterm, and taking things at her own pace…
“My signature nail style is a French or animal prints,” Nadine reveals. “My favourite products to use for nail art are Jade UK Art Gels.
“My favourite brushes are definitely the BrillBird UK Art Brushes.”
“I already have some plans in place for my career moving forward,” she shares. “I want to concentrate more on my one-to-one training courses.
“I’d also like to offer courses in toe nail reconstruction.”
“I have two daughters, so I’d love to expand and have them involved in my business with me.
“I’d also love to be able to offer some sort of apprenticeship to young people,” Nadine explains. “It would be amazing to help young people carve their own careers and better their own situations.”
“I love that there are always new and exciting products on offer in the nail industry,” she smiles. “It’s one of my favourite things about the industry.
“I’ve really noticed how far the industry has come in recent times.”
“One piece of advice that changed my carer outlook was to take things at my own pace.
“I learnt that it’s important to not put too much pressure on myself,” Nadine reflects. “I know it’s said all the time, but practice makes perfect and you shouldn’t be too hard on yourself.”
