Elly Aalish Wright of Elly Aalish Nails chats with Scratch about her favourite nail designs and her time working on photoshoots…

“I love that nails can give off different bits of personality,” Elly Aalish smiles. “Whether it’s a bold colour choice or a particular style of art, everyone’s are slightly different and give off that uniqueness.

“I love to create minimal designs or an alternative French, something that tends to have a lovely nude base with a pop of colour in the design. I also love adding in some iridescent flakes.”

“I often keep my nails a medium length and almond shaped,” she reveals. “I’m usually wearing a builder gel on my nails.

“As for nail art on myself, I often opt for either reverse French or a classic French design, changing the colours.”

“I decided to do conversion training with Bio Sculpture, and now have my certificates in their Bio and Evo products.

“I’m hoping to build up my collection of their products,” Elly Aalish shares. “I’d love to continue expanding my learning with them.”

“The lovely Chan from Clawgasmic says there is only one you, and it’s totally true,” she beams. “Don’t feel the pressure of comparing your work with other peoples.

“Always be yourself and don’t compare!”

“It’s important to let yourself thrive and enjoy what you are creating.”

“The highlight of my career so far is working on a photoshoot with the Mylee team.

“It was great to see behind the scenes of product shoots and launches,” Elly Aalish recalls. “It was so exciting working with the models and the team.”

“My hopes are to continue building my business, and one day, maybe expand it,” she explains. “I’d love to continue working with amazing brands along the way.

“I’d love to work on some more shoots, too.”
