Found in the garden of Charlotte Cliff’s home is summerhouse nail studio, offering clients a colourful experience designed to unleash nail creativity.

“I feel like the size of my studio creates a warm, personal experience for my clients,” Charlotte smiles. “My studio is more than just a workspace for me; it’s also a place where my clients can feel comfortable and open up in a safe and private environment. Feedback from clients suggested one-to-one appointments feel more relaxed and personal, compared to a busy high street salon. Plus, my garden has a koi pond and a few canary birds which creates a peaceful and relaxing background noise.”

Inside the summerhouse, a bright and refreshing décor can be found. “During lockdown, I chose to spend my unplanned free time revamping my studio,” Charlotte explains. “A few months ago, I posted a studio tour and I asked my followers for advice on what I should do with the spare wall.

“I read through everyone’s comments and came to a decision to create a gallery wall. It’s completely made up of prints from small businesses sourced via Instagram and Etsy. It was important for me to keep supporting small businesses during this tough time.

“I wanted to brighten up and make my workspace a colourful and happy place to be, which is why I have incorporated colour into nearly all of my decor.

“The new colour scheme conveniently matches my shelves full of my collection of The Gel Bottle Inc, which is very satisfying.

“I feel since revamping my studio it has more of a positive influence on how I work and my creativity. My gallery wall is full of motivational prints which sit directly in front of me so it’s a reminder to relax and not be too hard on myself.

“I love the fact my studio brings in a lot of natural daylight which naturally gives it a bright and uplifting feel. I would say my favourite thing about my studio is my floral hoop which hangs behind me and includes my business name, it reminds me to stay proud of how far I have come.”
