Claire's Cabin Nails & Beauty, Dorset

Calm and cosy, the aim of Claire Parrett’s salon is to create an inviting space for her clients to indulge in. Based from a cabin in her back garden, the salon is the result of Claire’s hard work and ambition for a career in the beauty industry.

“My cabin has been up and running for just over a year now,” Claire reveals. “It is located in the back garden of my house.

“I have always worked in beauty since qualifying in 2008. To enable us to buy a house, I worked in an office job to earn more money. I still worked evenings and weekends around my full time job to keep my clients and my passion. I gradually reduced my hours in the office to part time and built my client base further. I then made the decision to be full time in the cabin from July this year.”

Having previously offered mobile services or worked her spare room, Claire is now enjoying her own space. “I chose grey and white tones for the wooden cabin,” Claire reveals. “I wanted something neutral and calming, nothing too feminine or overly girly.

“The cabin is a tranquil, relaxed and inviting area. My clients have full privacy throughout their treatments. I have found that my male clients in particular feel more relaxed as they don’t have a busy salon with other clients to walk into.”

With a diverse treatment menu, Claire has her clients’ beauty wishes covered. Using CND™ Shellac™ and Vinylux™ alongside OPI for her nail services, Claire offers manicures and pedicures, as well as waxing, massages and facials. In addition, lash lift and extensions are on offer.

“My main objective is for my clients to relax and leave feeling both calm and pampered,” Claire concludes. “The cabin provides is a one to one basis which my clients love.”
