SALON IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Enhanced by Hannah, Tipton

“Life is for living,” Hannah Bell states, “Grasp what makes you happy.” Living by those wise words, Hannah is living out her ambition with the recent opening of her salon.
Having been diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago, Hannah had to overcome some personal challenges. “This a new venture established just a few months ago, however has been an ambition of mine for several years but was never in the right position to bite the bullet.
“Being pampered and having my nails done throughout my treatment was one of my saviours,” Hannah continues. “I wanted to do the same for others, and this saw Enhanced by Hannah created.”
Starting her career by offering a mobile service, Hannah always had visions of owning her own salon. “As anyone who knows me will say, once I start I don’t stop,” Hannah laughs. “I quickly progressed and before you knew it my log cabin was being delivered, built in my garden and decorated, ready to go.”
Based in Tipton, in the West Midlands, Enhanced by Hannah now offers a variety of luxurious treatments. Hannah’s own experience with illness has helped shape her business. “I intend to offer my time to wellbeing events to do for others as I had myself through cancer treatments,” Hannah reveals. “Enhanced by Hannah the is best of both worlds. My mobile services are for people who are not able to get out; the log cabin is for those that can or just need a little ‘me’ time. I like to think that this way everyone can enjoy a little pampering.”
Drawing from her own personal tastes, the salon is tastefully decorated to promote a sense of calm. “I wanted to ensure that the environment was an escape from the hectic day-to-day,” Hannah reveals. “I wanted people to leave the salon feeling refreshed and revitalised. I play calming music and natural aromas that engulf the room. Plus, extra touches add some glitz and glamour; every girl likes a little sparkle.”
Offering a wide range of nail services with both Salon System’s Gellux and OPI, Hannah is already looking to expand her offering; “In the near future, I am planning to attend additional courses to become qualified for facial, massage and waxing services. This way, my clients can visit me for a wide range of treatments. I also plan on doing girly pampering parties from the age of 10 upwards.
“The future is looking really bright for me,” Hannah smiles. “I am excited for what’s to come.”
