Salon in the Spotlight: KHAOS Nail Bar, Ross-on-Wye

Having worked at a previous premises alongside one another, KHAOS Nail Bar co-owner trio, Georgie, Jess and Niamh, outgrew the space and set out to create a salon brand of their own.
“Georgie came up with the name,” they remember. “After that, we decided to follow suit and go mental with the décor! It’s bright, fun and completely different to anything in the town of Ross-on-Wye.”

Formerly a bank and now renovated into two separate premises, the trio took on the task of decorating themselves, taking two months to complete. KHAOS Nail Bar opened its doors in September 2023.
“We ran into a few unexpected issues, such as items we’d ordered not looking as expected, running out of paint and Jess spilling curry all over the floor,” co-owner, Georgie Hughes, remembers. “We also had to wheel items from our old salon to the new one on trolleys through town, and the wheels kept falling off.”
Located in the centre of Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, surrounded by pubs, restaurants and independent shops, the salon attracts a varied clientele. Joined by nail technician, Megan, the co-owning trio offer a range of nail services.
Builder gel overlays are the most popular nail service at KHAOS Nail Bar, using HW Nail Systems. The salon also offers L&P acrylic enhancements using CJP Nail Systems, and luxury pedicure services using Elim.

“We really wanted KHAOS Nail Bar to have a professional nail salon vibe, while also encompassing our chaotic and bold personalities,” Georgie, Jess and Niamh explain. “We loved having the freedom to create the perfect salon space.
“We want clients to feel relaxed when they’re in the salon, while also being able to have fun. We’ve tried to incorporate playful aspects into the décor to create this vibe, such as the disco ball and sequin sign, which we think makes KHAOS Nail Bar unique.”
