In 2007, Sarra Birrell set up her salon in Cheshire, establishing a thriving nail and beauty business. However, lockdown had a negative impact on her business.
“I took the very difficult decision to close after 14 years. As sad as it was, there was a silver lining – I had a salon built in my garden, which is absolutely beautiful and has exceeded my every expectation.”

“My experience having to shut down my salon was tough,” Sarra reflects. “It was a really hard decision to make, but the situation has shown me that no matter how tough things get, you should always keep going.
“It’s really shown me my own resilience as an individual, and proved that you should never give up!”

“I specialise in gel nails,” she explains. “I use Bio Sculpture and Artistic Nail Design as my chosen brands.
“I have been using Bio Sculpture for over 20 years now, and it is a brand that I love every aspect of!”

“My salon is unique for its beautiful setting and individual look.
“The main beauty is that I can now offer a space for one-to-one treatments,” Sarra smiles. “For some of my clients, it’s not just about getting their nails done! It can be about seeing a friendly face or just having someone to talk to.”
