Gill Taylor, of Colour Fix, revealed that a combination of bright and muted hues is proving popular with her clients as the weather begins to warm up.

“I think at this time of the year, clients are beginning to choose brighter colours in the hope of warmer and brighter weather. Combining brighter colours with more muted tones is a good way of doing this. Grey and pink work particularly well together and some clients want more variety in their nail enhancements nowadays so giving a mix of colours and techniques caters for this.

“To create this design I used Gelish in Cashmere Kind Of Gal and Jet Set, as well as Le Chat Perfect Match in Pink Lady over the client’s usual rebalance service. I selected a Crystal Nails acrylic colour that closely resembled the Pink Lady shade and created the 3D design over the dark grey and finished by dabbing a clear iridescent glitter over some of the nails, capping well to cover any glitter. I finished the 3D floral design by embellishing with Swarovski crystals.

“I love this nail look as the shape elongates the fingers, making them appear slimmer and longer – and also, because it has variety, it keeps my client happy!”
