Offering free services to men, women and young adults diagnosed with cancer to manage both physical and emotional side effects of treatment, Look Good Feel Better’s virtual and face-to-face workshops are led by trained volunteers from the beauty industry. They provide expert advice on changes to nails, hair, skin, eyebrows and eyelashes during treatment, supporting body confidence.

Held in the University of Warwick’s Sports and Wellness Hub on Sunday 17 March, Look Good Feel Better is working in partnership with England Netball to raise money for those accessing charity support services via the fifth instalment of its Charity Netball Tournament.

Competing teams at the tournament will benefit from coaching and umpiring courtesy of England Netball, with elite netball athletes in attendance to teach tips and tricks. Goodie bags worth over £100 will be given to players and a range of prizes are up for grabs on the day.

Previous Charity Netball Tournament events have raised over £138,000 altogether since 2017, providing support to over 2,500 people living with cancer accessing Look Good Feel Better’s services.

The charity is seeking professional and amateur netball teams of all levels in Warwickshire to sign up to take part in the Charity Netball Tournament 2024, with registration for teams open via the charity website.

Ian Daniels, director of fundraising & head of communications at Look Good Feel Better, comments: “It is estimated that there are currently three million people living in the UK with cancer, and that figure is expected to rise to four million by 2030, so we know that demand for our specialist services and support will continue to grow.

“As a national charity, deeply rooted in local communities, we want to help more people in more places, delivering an inclusive and impactful service to people needing support. We are looking forward to welcoming all the players and spectators at what promises to be a spectacular sporting event, so if you are interested in netball, there is still opportunity to sign up now.”

Registration for teams is open at www.lookgoodfeelbetter.co.uk
