Nail brand, Moyra, introduces UK education team

Expanding its UK reach, international nail brand, Moyra, introduces its education team of three talented UK-based nail techs…

A family-run nail brand, Moyra has focused on delivering quality products, top-notch education and excellent customer service for over two decades. UK distribution of Moyra products sits safely in the hands of nail stylist, Vonny Tuckley of home salon, Nailcraft by Vonny, Loughborough.

Moyra’s product portfolio boasts over 300 gel polishes and more than 200 acrylic powder shades, a builder gel in a bottle range, hard gel, acrylgel, a full cover tips system, its stamping system with over 200 stamping plates and polishes, nail art tools and accessories.

The brand has introduced three talented techs from the UK to its education team, using their combined experience in the industry and knowledge of the brand to offer accredited training courses using Moyra products.

 

Amanda Hawtree-Taft

Amanda Hawtree Taft

Qualifying as a nail technician in 2013, Amanda Hawtree-Taft delved into the world of education in 2014, acting as an international educator in nail art and gel for Crystal Nails. Following the successful completion of extensive training, Amanda progressed to absolute master educator by 2017, covering a range of nail art, manicure and extreme shape techniques. Her talents also saw her become an assessor for Crystal Nails educators.

Amanda’s competition endeavours have secured her a range of accolades, including a first place position at Professional Beauty in the Nail Art category and the title of finalist in the Scratch Stars Awards 2017 and 2018, before she became a judge.

Specialising in technical, intricate nail art and nail enhancements across a range of systems, Amanda will be heading up Moyra‘s UK education team across the South East and London.

Amanda comments: “I’m really excited to be joining Moyra UK as head of the education team & elite educator. Zsuzsanna Fecsik

Zsuzsanna Fecsik

Beginning her nail journey in Hungary in 2007, Zsuzsanna Fecsik trained with a range of international educators before opening her training academy, Quality Studio and Academy, in 2008. Becoming an expert educator for Artistic Nails in 2017, Zsuszanna received the Best Nail and Best Nail Art certificates on her educator training. Her passion for education culminated in Zsuszanna becoming the first international grand master in the UK for extreme nail shapes.

Zsuszanna’s competition endeavours have seen her place in a range of national competitions, including achieving first place at Professional Beauty, Manchester in the International Nail Art Master category in 2018, first place at Nailympia London in 2018 and becoming a Scratch Stars Awards 2023 finalist in the One Stroke Artist of the Year category. She is now among the judging panel at national nail competitions.

Having used Moyra products for many years in her nail work, Zsuzsanna will cover UK education for the brand across the East Midlands region.

Zsuzsanna comments: “All of my training and competitions have helped me to provide something unique, and something that makes my students successful. This brings the greatest joy in my life: to see my students progress and to see the happiness of my clients.”

Shaun Wilkins-Booth

Shaun Wilkins Booth

With the support of his foster mother and close friends, Shaun Wilkins-Booth’s passion for nails began at a young age. He enrolled onto a nail technician course as soon as he was old enough and worked in a salon after qualifying. A qualified VTCT educator, Shaun began teaching beginners in the salon, realising his passion for sharing his knowledge to help other nail professionals.

Shaun has a rich competition history showcasing his advanced L&P acrylic specialism, achieving top three placements in multiple national competitions, including a first place accolade in an Acrylic Pink & White category.

Discovering Moyra in 2016, Shaun has been an avid user of the brand since. He began educating for Moyra in 2016 and has engaged in training with international Moyra educators. Shaun’s extensive knowledge of the brand will see him act as UK educator for Moyra in the South Yorkshire region.

Shaun comments: “In an effort to rejuvenate my passion for nails, I attended Nail Safari in 2023. It was a complete explosion in my mind, and it brought back so much love and passion. I recently competed at Professional Beauty and have committed to immerse myself in learning and teaching this year. I’ve always loved Moyra products and am so excited for the future of the brand.

“It’s fair to say my obsession with nails is well and truly back.”

  • Using the full cover tips system – half a day.
Moyra educators can also offer face-to-face workshops covering stamping using Moyra, and a workshop detailing form fitting and sculpting techniques.
