Scratch Snap: What you need to know

Scratch has launched a new monthly nail art challenge, called Scratch Snap.

In the challenge, a theme will be set each month and you have a limited amount of time to create a nail design that suits (salon-style). Simply snap a pic of the nail design (on yourself or a client) – and you could be in with a chance of winning!

The theme is completely open to interpretation and techs can use any preferred nail system they wish to achieve the finished result. The winning image will earn the tech an exciting prize, which changes each month. As well as this, the entries are judged by a member of the Scratch‘s team and a GUEST judge every month.

Each entry will be judged on a number of aspects, including:

• Instant impact: Does your nail design have a ‘wow’ factor?
• Interpretation of theme: Does your nail design show originality? Have you interpreted the theme in a unique way?
• Clarity of photograph and nails: Is your image clear and completely in focus? Are the nails well photographed?
• Nail finish: Is your nail design finished to perfection? Is the nail art executed flawlessly? Are they even in shape and form? Does the surrounding skin and cuticle area look healthy?
