Milton Keynes based nail tech, Suzanne Clayton, led a team of five to create an assortment of nail looks for the Pierre Garroudi show at London Fashion Week.

The salon owner and session nailist was briefed by the designer to create nails in shades of white and pastel with splashes of colour and multiple accessories. Following on from the team’s efforts at the AW19 showcase in February, the finished looks saw an array of patterns, colours and designs for SS20.

The nail team, comprising Suzanne, Em Lee, Sophie Donaldson, Lauren Lenoir, Georgia Hardwicke and Sheniene Lebond, tended to the nails of 50 models, creating over 600 nails using Gelica Gel products and various craft materials on clear stiletto tips.

Pierre Garroudi gives me artistic licence as he supports individuality and creativity in all,” comments Suzanne. “His visions are very unique and he doesn’t ‘do’ matchy-matchy looks.

“Pierre likes to mix colours, styles and textures in a way that most people wouldn’t think to do so. He likes to reinvent objects in a different way and lets me interpret each show in my own way, as he does with the make-up team. I have worked with Pierre six times now so I know what his collections are like and how he likes to mix them up.

“The nail team for the show had not done anything like this before so I prepared them months in advance with various videos. I’m so proud of our achievements on the day and the feedback has been amazing.”
