WHO CAN ENTER?
Any nail professional that has been working in the UK or ROI since before 1 February 2023 and gained a recognised nail qualification on or before this date (12 months ago or more). Entrants to this category must be actively working as a nail professional for 10 or more hours per week.
The Polish & Paint Nail Artist of the Year is a master tech who demonstrates unrivalled skills with air-dry products (from nail polishes and stripers to nail paints and brushes) to create fantastic flat nail art designs. Picture submissions must feature flat nail designs. No airbrush art, or art created using stencils is permitted.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Once the entry deadline has passed on 10 March 2024, all entries will be judged and five finalists in this category will be announced on Monday 15 April 2024.
These finalists must attend a practical judging day in London on Monday 20 May 2024 and complete a nail task in a salon-style environment in one hour and have a 5-min chat with judges. Failure to attend this day will forfeit the finalist position and all associated benefits. All instructions and details about this judging day will be sent to finalists after 15 April 2024.
Scores at this practical judging day will be tallied to determine the winner of this category who will be announced at the Scratch Stars Party on Sunday 21 July 2024.
