Scratch cover star scoops top nail award

Talented tech, Katie Barnes, has scooped the Nail Professional of the Year title at the Professional Beauty Awards.
It’s been a great week for Katie – as she also graces the front cover of the March issue of Scratch as both the model and nail stylist, and she recently made huge waves in Nails magazine‘s Next Top Nail Artist competition as the only UK finalist in the top 12.
Katie, who blogs for Scratch on a fortnightly basis, was presented with the award at a glamorous black tie dinner on 25 February at Tobacco Dock, London.
On collecting the award, she commented: “It feels amazing to win after having entered several times before. I’d like to thank my friends and family for all their support and the judges for giving me this wonderful award. I think the awards are really important as they inspire the next generation and I can’t wait to see what the future brings.”
