Saturday (11/02/23) saw the 43rd BRIT Awards take place in London’s O2 Arena, with big names in the music business coming together to celebrate UK music talent.

On the red carpet, celebrities showcased striking outfits – with show-stopping nail shades and art to suit.

Harry Styles

Winner of the most awards, Harry Styles, enlisted the help of Jenny Longworth for his BRITs nail look. The nail stylist created a glossy, pale lavender design, which stood out against the singer’s dark fashion choices, as he accepted each of the four BRIT Awards he was nominated for.

Lizzo

Lizzo’s go-to nail tech, Eri Ishizu, was on hand to deliver a pink-toned French manicure for the US musician. The nail artist used Essie Gel Couture nail polish shades, revealing on Instagram that she applied one coat of Last Nightie, two coats of Bodice Goddess, before creating the French tips with two coats of Matter of Fiction and the ombré on the tips using Bodice Goddess. To finish, Essie Gel Couture Top Coat was applied.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock

Celebrity nail stylist & Magpie Beauty brand ambassador, Stephanie Staunton, was in charge of Little Mix singer, Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s nails for the awards. On Instagram, she explained how she used Magpie Beauty’s Get a Grip rubber base in Peach and Velvet Top matte top coat. The look was finished with gold gel paint, dry brushed on using an ombré brush.

Shania Twain

Despite the name of Canadian singer-songwriter, Shania Twain’s best-selling hit, her nails did impress us much at the BRITs, thanks to celebrity manicurist, Lucy Tucker. She created yellow press-on nails featuring gold foil, to complement Twain’s Saint Laurent dress, as well a silver glitter gel pedicure to match her jewellery.

Rina Sawayama

Nominee for Best New Artist, Rina Sawayama, showcased deep red enhancements, featuring a black middle ombré, to match her burgundy, hooded dress. The nail style came courtesy of celebrity nail artist, Angel My Linh of @angelsnailz.

Mimi Webb

Fellow Best New Artist nominee, Mimi Webb, turned to manicurist to the stars, Michelle Humphrey, for her BRITs nail style. She created trending style, chrome nails, in a light pink hue.

Maya Jama

TV presenter & DJ, Maya Jama, could be seen sporting black French tips with gold detailing by Karen Tatiana of @karentatiana._, who has previously tended to the nails of the celeb. Tatiana used The GelBottle Inc in Bottles With Benefits and Studio Gel™ in Jet Black.
