Scratch chats to celebrity manicurist Jenni Draper, who was behind the scenes of the House of Gucci premiere, getting actress Camille Cottin ready with bang on trend nails using the Morgan Taylor Professional Nail Lacquer in the shade Black Shadow and the Seche Vite Top Coat.

What was the process of Camille’s manicure from start to finish?

She had a full manicure with cuticle work, using the Personaility Essential Nail Kit, Dadi’ Scrub, Dadi’ Lotion, and Dadi’ Oil.

Why was the shade Black Shadow chosen?

The colour black was chosen to be impactful against her cream outfit but not to outdo her jewellery. Myself and Eliot Bliss, Camille’s stylist, coined the manicure ‘Noir Noir’.

What was Camille’s input in the manicure?

She was being guided by her very good friend and fellow actress Marion Cotillard who was on FaceTime with us the whole time to make sure everything came together. Camille was extremely happy with the outcome.

How would you suggest getting beautiful nails?

Preparation is the key to a beautiful nail, and lots of hydration.

What are your top nail secrets?

Well, that would be telling! I think the thing that people don’t do enough of is cuticle work before painting them. That and aftercare!
