Actress, Victoria Ekanoye, best known for playing Angie Appleton in Coronation Street and Rachel in The Royals, has joined forces with Organic Aesthetics London’s award-winning clinical team.

Ekanoye, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021 and has since been given the all-clear, is a patron for Prevent Breast Cancer and Sickle Cell Care Manchester. She has been filming for global documentary, The Naked Truth, which addresses the challenges experienced by African women and the diaspora living with cancer, and will be starring in The Real Full Monty on ITV this Christmas to raise cancer awareness. She also has lifelong condition, sickle cell anaemia.

The actress turned to Organic Aesthetics London after being refused aesthetic treatments elsewhere. The clinic was co-founded by highly acclaimed plastic surgeon, Professor Afshin Mosahebi, and skincare specialist & chronic disease sufferer, Asal Shirazi BEM, with an emphasis on all aspects of wellbeing. This includes non-surgical aesthetic treatments, cancer tracing, cancer genetic testing and blood testing.

Asal Shirazi BEM comments: “Victoria and I have both been refused aesthetic treatments by clinics. Having chemotherapy or suffering from a chronic condition should not automatically discount you from treatments afforded to the rest of society.

“Mental health can be greatly impacted when health is compromised, and physical health and aesthetics can be affected just as heavily. Safe treatments for the immunocompromised is a hugely underrated service and we aim to offer this inclusively.”

Victoria adds: “I couldn’t believe it when I enquired with Organic Aesthetics London about various treatments and the answer wasn’t a resounding ‘no’. The procedures were all clearly explained and the safest options inferred. More so due to my sickle cell condition, it’s important to have treatments done under supervision.

“The post-treatment skincare is specially formulated to be toxin-free, functional and use plant-based premium luxury products. Professor Mosahebi has breast cancer patients who have been refused aesthetic treatment, and it affects their mental health and general quality of life.”
