The 65th annual Grammy Awards took place last night (05/02/23) in Los Angeles, and saw A-listers come together to recognise excellence in the music industry.

Glammed up for the occasion, celebs were spotted with eye-catching manicures to complement their striking fashion choices, as 91 awards were given out.

Lizzo

Celebrity manicurist, Eri Ishizu, tended to the nails of Record of the Year winner, Lizzo, who sported two nail looks using OPI products: a 3D orange flower style using GelColor in Silicon Valley Girl from the Me, Myself and OPI spring 2023 collection, and a silver chrome design – both of which matched the singer’s outfits.

“For Lizzo’s Grammy look, we decided to have a monochromatic, vibrant look that evokes a spring awakening. Spring is a time of change, reinvention and colour, and with this bright, bold and beautiful outfit, I wanted to create statement nails,” commented Ishizu on Instagram.

Megan Fox

Megan Fox and fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly’s resident nail stylist, Brittney Boyce, created the actress’ Grammys nail look, which was also designed by Jillian Sassone, founder & creative director of Marrow Fine Jewelry. Boyce used stiletto Aprés Nail tips as a base structure for the 14 karat solid white gold enhancements, which featured crosses made of 150 white diamonds. Machine Gun Kelly was also seen sporting one of the tips on his little finger.

Celebrity nail stylist, Jenny Bui, is behind this glossy, stiletto L&P look for rapper, Cardi B, which matched the black lace on her awards night dress.

Harry Styles

Album of the Year & Best Pop Vocal Album winner, Harry Styles’s pearly white nails came courtesy of Sigourney Nuñez. The nail artist used polish shades from Styles’ beauty brand, Pleasing: Perfect Pearl, a pearlescent white with a gloss finish, and Pearly Tops, a sheer, opalescent white with a matte finish.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez’s go-to tech, Tom Bachik, created latest trend, lip gloss nails, for the singer & actress. A fan of the trending style, Lopez’s lip gloss nail looks by Bachik have helped the style to go viral – and for her Grammys look, the manicurist added a row of tiny diamonds down the centre of each nail. “We wanted nails that played off her Gucci gown in a fresh, minimalistic way,” he wrote on Instagram.

Charli D’Amelio & Landon Barker

Another celeb couple turned to Brittney Boyce for their Grammys manicures: social media influencer, Charli D’Amelio and actor boyfriend, Landon Barker. She used CND™ products, including PLEXIGEL™ Builder Gel and Shellac™ in Black Pool, to create matching styles that complemented their outfits.

“We wanted to stay classy but add a little bit of edge, so we went with a classic, glossy black medium length nail in an almond shape to elongate Charli’s hands, with a chunky piece of chain cuff. We wanted Landon’s look to complement Charli’s with smaller chain pieces wrapping around his cuticle,” commented Boyce.

Doja Cat

Nominee for four awards, Doja Cat, could be seen sporting glossy, deep red stiletto enhancements by her go-to nail artist & nail enhancement specialist, Saccia Livingston.

Anitta

Brazilian singer & Best New Artist nominee, Anitta, enlisted the help of Zola Ganzorigt for her Grammy Awards manicure. She used OPI products, including GelColor in I Meta My Soulmate from the Me, Myself and OPI collection and Chrome Effects in Pay Me In Rubies, to create her signature style: glazed donut nails.

“Anitta’s dress for the Grammys was edgy but accessorised with the pink panther diamond necklace, adding a bit of elegance. Pink diamonds are known to symbolise elegance and romance, so we played off that for the nail look with the star OPI shade being I Meta My Soulmate,” Ganzorigt commented on Instagram.

Celebrity nail stylist, Master Weenay, created singer & presenter for the 2023 Grammys, SZA’s nail look, using natural toned Aprés Nail gel and painting heart nail art featuring the lettering ‘Daddy’ on two accent nails.

Mary J. Blige

Manicurist to the stars, Temeka Jackson, matched the nails of Mary J. Blige, who was nominated for six awards, to her embellished dress using Swarovski crystals. On Instagram, Jackson revealed: “Mary does not have nail gloves on… However this looks amazing! It’s giving an illusion.”
