The Federation of Nail Professionals releases its first stats from its UK-wide industry census

The Federation of Nail Professionals has released some of the data it has obtained via the survey it put out earlier this year.
Average number of respondents 744 (NB: other questions had a higher number of responses)

These stats show those that are engaging with the industry by taking part in the census.
Very few under 25 years olds responded, and we know there is a large percentage in this age group. More from the south answered than the north.
Its Census for 2021 on Education has revealed these facts…
- Time of current qualification (743 respondents) Over 2 years = 81%
- Quality of first education experience (742) Bad to OK = 49% Good to very good = 48%
- Confidence level after first experience (744) Bad to OK = 57% Good to very good = 41%
- Last time updated education (742) Less than 1 year = 65%
- Importance of CPD (742) Important to very important = 94%
- How much spent on education so far (722) Over £2000 = 48% (Under £250 = 2%)
- Do you see the nail industry as a professional career (803) Yes = 87%
- Does secondary education positively promote the nail industry as a career (788) No = 84% Yes 16%
- Do you feel higher achieving students in secondary education are given positive info on opportunities for this career (774) No = 88% Yes = 12%
- Do you feel the Gov take the nail industry seriously (774) No = 97% Yes = 3%
